Meet Gwen!

Meet Gwen. She's helping me behind the scenes with design proofing, formatting, editorial projects, and hopefully much more! Gwen and I have crossed paths many times. We came from the same hometown, rode the same bus to school, and each attended the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

Gwen reached out to me last September after seeing that we both live in Denver, Colorado. Her child was about to turn two years old, and she was thinking through the next chapter of her career. Aside from connecting at a personal level, I was curious to see if she might be interested in working together. Her mother had been a talented professional illustrator who gave talks at our high school in the late 1990s. I found these talks on commercial illustration to be inspiring and memorable.

I went on to study textile design at RISD, while Gwen, naturally, studied illustration. Gwen and I lost touch after college but have continued to follow similar paths. She spent time living in Northern California while I lived in Southern California. A few years ago, we both happened to move to Colorado and have babies (now toddlers) who are less than two months apart!
